Perhaps I'll make an annual attempt at jotting something down... Wow, who knew that the old folks were right about time being the most valuable and treasured thing? The girls are already one third of the way through the first grade! All is well and they are facing the challenge with great enthusiasm. Caprice and I are very proud parents. The past year has been very busy for us. I embarked on building an addition to our house, which included a demolition of our existing kitchen and integrating new space for a kitchen/great room. Underneath, I used this space for a large two car garage. It's mostly complete, but as most know, your house will be completed when it's time to move on. And as stated in the past, that is a long time away if all goes well. I finally made a change to this website which should help me post photos easily, so everyone that checks in can see what's happening with us. I hope you enjoy it. Follow links to each year and I will continue to add photo slide show galleries for your enjoyment. I will try to be as descriptive as possible, but leave the photos to do most of the talking. You guys all take care!

November 19th, 2003

  • Wow, it's been almost eleven months since I have thought about posting to this page. Time is flying!
  • A great deal has happened since January. A busy year and a good year.
  • E & C turned two and we celebrated our fifth anniversary.
  • We took a cool road trip to Florida and Mississippi this summer as well as going to Michelle and Brian's wedding in March.
  • E & C began pre-pre school and are enjoying it very much. They come home every day with so much to say.
  • They are beginning to give mommy a run for her money in conversation!
  • We went to New Jersey to spend time with the Casele's in August and can't wait to go back!
  • Our nephew Jerry is staying with us for a school year in hopes to improve his self-discipline. We will have some experience for the girls when they approach the teenage years!
  • We survived 5 days without electricity during Isabel, what fun! I was actually in town for that event.
  • The boat is under renovation this winter and part of next spring due to Isabel. I am enjoying getting work completed on my own.
  • We are gearing up for our third holiday season as parents; E & C are beginning to understand what is going on. They are awesome!
  • There are many, many pictures to browse through from this year, please enjoy!
  • Happy holidays to all!

January 4th, 2003

  • Happy New Year once again! We had a great 2002.
  • OK - Now we know what busy really is! It's been 6 long months since I've made an update to this page and it only feels like a few weeks.
  • E. & C. are growing so fast, it is just amazing.
  • They are off to a good start with their vocabulary. I believe in a few months mommy will have some competition in the way of conversation! It will be grand :)
  • Christmas was great, the girls are already grasping the concept. It was awesome to have the time off, both Caprice and myself, to spend with the girls and family.
  • We are also thankful for another trip to Hawaii - just before Christmas.
  • Thanksgiving was just awesome, too! We shared a big beach house with family and enjoyed quality time with everyone that joined us!
  • We hope to plan a summer road trip to make our rounds! We can't wait to visit everyone in FLA, LA & MS.Look out! I didn't forget GA, too!
  • We wish everyone a safe and happy 2003. Be sure to check the picture page for updates!

  • Well it's been a few months - Sorry.
  • We are all settled in the new home and enjoying it so much.
  • The girls just had their first birthday and party, I think everyone had fun! Elizabeth and Carlea are just the best babies anyone could ask for.
  • We finally began sailing, just a couple of weeks now. So far, so good! Soon we will be ready for the big trip! Come on by for a sail!
  • I added a few pictures to the site, just click on the pictures link to see!
  • Florida trip in the near future! We miss all you guys down there! (Come visit!)
  • Check back soon!

March 22nd, 2002

  • There are a few more entries to the pictures table.. the links in the table are in chronological order (latest at the top). Click here to go there
  • Caprice is enjoying her new teaching job. It is working out well and is only ten minutes from the new house.
  • The baby sitter couldn't be better. We are very luck in that regard. The girls still get to sleep in, because they are at home (they are practicing for adolescence!) and are still very giggly and happy.
  • I just returned from Kobe, Japan. Kobe is near Osaka. I'm inspired to learn the language, so we'll see how that goes..
  • Looks like the boat is finally going to see the water - in her slip anyway. There are still a few punch list items to purchase, but nothing major. I am hopefull we will be putting wind in her sails by the end of June! We are very excited to start enjoying the boat and lifestyle. So come on over for a sail (after we find out that she floats!)
  • We are getting roots! If you haven't noticed, we now have our own domain name, complete with domain email addresses! WWW.CJECWEST.COM If you can't figure it out, I will tell yaw... CapriceJeffElizabethCarlea - CJECWEST.COM . This will clue you into the fact that Planned parenthood is in effect! The only way our domain will change is if there happens to be another miracle in the world!
  • Until next time - take care and Happy Spring to you!
